The HP Certified Professional Program provides IT professionals with the business and technical skills needed to support multi-vendor, mission critical IT environments.
The program has a comprehensive development structure that includes six focus areas of expertise. They are:
- Sales
- Presales
- Systems integration
- Systems administration
- Systems development
- Hardware support
Within each focus area there are levels of certification. Examples of certification levels include Accredited Sales Consultant and Master ASE, plus many others.
Within each certification level there are credentials. Credentials are aligned with HP technology families such as Industry Standard Servers, StorageWorks, Business Critical Servers etc. Examples of credentials an individual may pursue are ProLiant Servers, Master ASE SAN Architect etc. The program has an extensive portfolio of credentials to choose from.

HP Master Accredited Systems Engineer
The flagship credential available from HP, the Master ASE requires an individual to gather customer business requirements, and design, integrate and support a full solution including application, middleware, platform, operating system, storage, network and option components.
- Ideal candidate: Anyone who deploys complex solutions based on HP technologies
- Prerequisite: Accredited Systems Engineer certification and potentially a third party solution certification

HP Accredited Systems Engineer
Given a set of customer business requirements, this individual is required to design, support and integrate an enterprise level solution (potentially including platform, operating system, storage, network and option components) to solve business needs.
- Ideal candidate: Anyone who deploys complex, enterprise solutions based on HP technologies
- Prerequisite: Accredited Integration Specialist certification AND potentially an HP Certified Systems Engineer certification or a third party Operating System certification
