Please note: This migration page is ONLY for the transition from pre-merger Compaq or HP certifications to the HP Certified Professional program. We started the announcement of these requirements in February 2002. For all current Continuing Certification Requirements (CCRs) for the HP Certified Professional certifications, please visit our CCR web page.
The HP Certified Professional program consists of new tracks based upon integration of product lines and certification programs between Hewlett Packard and Compaq Computer Corporation. These pages are intended to help pre-merger certification holders understand:
- What has happened to their pre-merger certification title
- Whether or not anything is required of them going forward (renewal, CCR, etc.)
- What to expect in terms of new certificates and ID cards (see below)

Information about renewals and continuing certification requirements (CCRs) is now posted on the pages linked below. To find current information about your pre-merger track, please follow the links below to the technology area that corresponds to your pre-merger certification.

New Certificates and ID cards:
If your pre-merger certification is listed on the migration pages as "Candidate is given new title immediately (grandfathered)," we will send you a welcome letter or personalized CCR letter (if applicable), along with your new Certificate and ID card. If your pre-merger certification is listed on the migration pages as "Candidate retains former title" or "N/A" we will not send new Certificates or ID cards immediately. If there is a migration path specified, candidates will receive the new Certificate and ID card when they complete the track migration or CCR.
Please note that the HP Certified Professional program is no longer issuing Certification ID cards as of November 2003.
