Register now for HP Technology Forum

Registration is now open for HP Technology Forum, taking place September 17-21, 2006 in Houston, Texas. You can register today at http://www.hptechnologyforum.com.

As an HP Certified Professional, you are eligible for a discounted registration rate. The discount is dependent on your level of certification:

Certification Level Event Registration (US Dollars)
Master ASE $550
ASE, CSE, AIS, CSA $750
CSD, APS, ASC, ASP, APC, APP $950

In addition, Certified Professionals who work for a qualified partner may use MDF/PDF/DGF resources to help pay for this event. Talk to your Partner Business Manager for details.

Early registration runs through July 15, 2006, and we're offering a special incentive to you if you register by that date. If you are an HP Certified Professional in the United States or Canada, you will receive TWO vouchers for HPshopping.com (HPshopping.ca in Canada), valued at $100 each in the currency of your country. That means you get $200 to spend on any product or merchandise available on your regional HPshopping site. What you buy with your vouchers is up to you! You have until three weeks after HP Technology Forum 2006 to redeem your vouchers.

If you are an HP Certified Professional in Latin America, you will be able to select from a variety of HP products with a total value of $200 (USD). We'll provide you with a selection of very cool stuff that you will want to claim for yourself.

In order to qualify for this early registration promotion, you must register for HP Technology Forum prior to midnight July 15, 2006, you must live in the U.S., Canada, or Latin America and you must use the registration code "EBUCKS" when prompted during registration. You will receive your shopping vouchers (U.S. and Canada) or have access to the HP products upon check-in at the conference.

This promotion is our way of saying THANK YOU for supporting the Americas HP Certified Professional Program, and for registering early to attend your technical training event at HP Technology Forum.

In the event that you need to get your manager to approve your travel to attend this conference, we've made your job a bit easier by writing a justification letter for you. It tells your manager about all the good training and networking you will get by attending HP Technology Forum.

» Download the letter in English (16.5KB, PDF)
» Download the letter in Spanish (40.2KB, PDF)
» Download the letter in Portuguese (40KB, PDF)

We're working hard to make this the best training event we can. Next month we'll have information about the content topics you can expect to learn about in Houston. Meanwhile, tune in to the special conference details just for Americas HP Certified Professionals on our website.

CertPro now back online

The web portal tool, CertPro, is now officially back online. Go the Americas website at: www.hp.com/go/certification/americas, look for the Login to the HP Certified Professional Member site on the right hand side of the home page. CertPro will continue to be the tool to locate and bookmark all certifications.

Continuous Learning Initiative Update

The Continuous Learning Initiative is the HP initiative designed to help you keep your skills current and market-relevant - our version of a continuing education program. During the launch of this initiative, a new application named the Annual Points Dashboard was implemented. This application was linked to the CertPro portal. System stability and functionality issues were discovered which impacted our ability to properly monitor and track your points. As a result, the application was taken offline and will remain offline for the balance of the year. We apologize for any inconvenience.

What's next?
  • There are no requirements this year to earn points. The Annual Points Dashboard will remain offline for the remainder of 2006.
  • Optional learning activities that will enable you to serve your customers and/or business will be highlighted in our monthly email updates.
  • If you work for a Partner, your authorization to sell some HP products and solutions may require you to upgrade your credential to the newest version. The postponement of the Continuous Learning Initiative does not affect the version of the credential you hold. Logon to the Americas Certification website (www.hp.com/go/certification/americas) to view your credentials and check the versions.
  • Continuous Learning Initiative plans for 2007 will be communicated later this year.
