How to locate and register for a test center exam |

Test Center exams are conducted in Prometric test centers throughout the world. There are three ways to register: Online, onsite or by phone.
- Online:
- Locate the exam:
- Click on the "Search for credentials" link on the left navigation bar.
- Choose a job role and a technology,
- Click on the "View credentials" button and select from the resulting credentials
- On the following page, required exams will be displayed as you click on the requirements tabs. (Be sure to make a note of your exam name and number).
- Click on the exam you wish to take.
- On the resulting page select "Register for your test center exam online." You will then be taken to the Prometric website where you can follow the links to register.
- If you already know your exam name and number, you may proceed directly to the Prometric registration website (Secure and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
- Follow the registration instructions on the Prometric website
- Onsite: Visit your local test center and register.
- By phone: Call your local test center and register. For a list of locations and phone numbers, visit http://www.prometric.com/hp
Please note the above methods are currently not available in Japan. To register, Japan users please visit www.prometric.jp.

Be prepared! To schedule an exam you will need the following information:
- Name
- HP Student ID
- Prometric ID
- Company/Organization
- Mailing address (Street, City, State, Country, ZIP)
- Test name and series ID# (HP0-xxx)
- Method of payment (Visa, MasterCard or American Express, company check or prepaid voucher. Payment is due prior to scheduling a test.)

How to reschedule or cancel a Test Center exam |

There are two methods to cancel or reschedule your Test Center exam (HP0):
You must cancel or reschedule your Test center exam at least one business day prior to your scheduled appointment. For more information, refer to Prometric Frequently Asked Questions.

How to check appointment status |
 |
 |
Once you complete registration, a confirmation e-mail containing your appointment summary will be sent to you. It is important that you print and keep a copy for your reference. However, if you need another copy of your appointment summary, you can access the online exam registration tool or call your Prometric Regional Registration Center.

Test center exam (HP0) costs range from US $60.00 to US $150.00. You may pay for your exam by credit card (AMEX, MasterCard, or Visa) or by using a voucher number, or by promotional code. Our program does not accept payment by company or personal check.

How to setup an online testing account |

Before you can take a Web-based exam (HP2 / HP3), you will need to setup an online testing account. Please be sure you have a valid HP Student ID before you begin or you will not be allowed to setup an online testing account.
Note: There is a 24 hour waiting period after receiving your HP Student ID before you can proceed with the registration.
Your Online Test Center (HP0) testing account is not the same account as the Web-based (HP2 / HP3) testing account. Each testing account is unique and can not be used interchangeably. To setup an online testing account:
- Go to your regional Prometric online portal
- Click on "First-time Registration" link
- Choose the correct sponsor from the drop down menu box and click "Continue"
- For HP2 exams, select "HP2 - HP Certified Professional Exams"
- For HP3 exams, select "HP3 - HP Qualification Exams"
- Complete the registration form and click "Submit". Be sure to write down your Username and Password.

How to register for and take a Web-based exam |

On the requirements page for the credential you want to earn, click on the "Exam registration" link. (Be sure to make a note of your exam name and number). On the resulting page, click on your regional link.
- When you arrive at the online portal, if you have not already done so, you will need to set up an online testing account (see section above for instructions)
- Log-in with your username and password
- Go to the "Main Menu" screen
- At the "Select a Test Sponsor" screen, under the "Public Tests" box, select "HP2 or HP3" and click "Submit"
- Select the desired exam (in the desired language) from the list displayed by clicking on the exam link
- Follow the instructions displayed on the screen

How to resume/restart an exam after being disconnected

While taking an exam do not close your browser window. Should you be disconnected or lose your internet connection, the test timer will continue to run. Quickly log back into the system and choose "Resume Test" from the candidate menu. (Once the allotted test time is gone, the test will automatically be submitted for scoring.)
