The Tru64 UNIX v5 Systems Engineer is focused on certifying advanced installation, configuration, and Systems Engineering skills on the Tru64 UNIX v5 operating system on HP AlphaServers. This certification is for senior IT professionals who demonstrate, deploy, performance tune or troubleshoot the HP Tru64 UNIX v5 operating system. Among the benefits of obtaining this certification, the candidate will be able to:

• Install, configure and performance optimize Tru64 UNIX on an AlphaServer System
• Perform advanced Systems Administration tasks including configuring network services and enterprise class layered applications
• Install, configure, performance tune and troubleshoot TruCluster software on 2 node and multi-node systems
• Design the software configuration for Tru64 UNIX systems given a set of customer requirements across a customer enterprise

Tru64 UNIX v5 Systems Engineer candidates must meet the prerequisites and pass additional HP exams for certification (see requirements below). Once the candidate has successfully completed these requirements, the candidate must submit an application to the Americas HP Certified Professional program. It is strongly recommended that candidates take the HP instructor-led courses in preparation for the exams. Courses available are listed in the table below.

Continuing Certification Requirements - Candidates may be required to complete Continuing Certification Requirements consisting of selected exams, training, or additional maintenance requirements as prescribed by HP.
