On November 15, 2002 the long awaited "official" worldwide announcement of the HP Certified Professional Program occurred. The best way to recap all the announcement news is to provide a link to the "Alert" we distributed on November 15. This "alert" provides all announcement information plus updates on the new storage certifications as well as a list of the certification levels being retired. Alert summary.
For the second year in a role, the Master ASE certification enjoys a "repeat" win in Certification Magazine's annual salary survey. The HP Certified Professional Program ranked as one of the top 10 certifications in many other salary survey categories. Click here for the results.
Note: This reminder is for those individuals who have not completed their CCR. In January 2002 we announced continuing certification requirements (CCRs) for a select group of designations. If you hold one of these designations your CCR deadline is January 31, 2003:
Information about the designations affected by the January 31, 2003 CCR deadline is found here.

There certainly was a NonStop™ HP Certified Professional presence at the 2002 ITUG Summit in San Jose, CA. Teresa Pickering and Barbara Sandro, from the HP Certified Professional Houston Program Office, joined the NonStop Education Team in welcoming existing NonStop HP Certified Professionals. A welcome area outside the Prometric testing center provided a venue for existing NonStop HP Certified Professionals to relax, enjoy refreshments AND pick up their new HP Certified Professional logo wear. Throughout the week additional certification promotional items were distributed. The welcome area also served as the place for potential HP Certified Professional candidates to obtain program information. An onsite Prometric Testing Center offered complimentary exams. During the conference, approximately 320 NonStop Server accreditation exams were delivered, resulting in 24 accreditations being earned while at the event. Three people earned all three possible accreditations: AIS (Accredited Integration Specialist), ASE (Accredited System Engineer) and SE (NonStop Kernel System Engineer. Here's a summary of the event. We've also provided a gallery of photos.
