Compaq ProLiant DL320
The Compaq ProLiant DL320 is a robust and affordable, 1-way, dense server that brings the density-optimized features of the DL Line to emerging, fast-growing Internet companies. Previously, rapidly growing, emerging ISPs and dot-coms had to rely on incomplete white boxes or closed-box systems that offered little more than a "thin-server". In addition to traditional Compaq performance and product quality, the flexible, general purpose ProLiant DL320 offers a comprehensive set of density-optimized solutions that are proven to solve the unique challenges that customers encounter when they deploy servers in a rack environment.

Compaq ProLiant ML330
The new Compaq ProLiant ML330 Second Generation is an entry-level, 2-processor server in the same chassis as the original ML330. The ProLiant ML330 is the first server to offer a choice of Ultra3 SCSI or Integrated ATA RAID 0, 1, or 1+0. The ProLiant ML330 G2 is the only non-hot plug server to offer a global, comprehensive pre-failure warranty covering all system components, including processors, memory, and hard drives. It also offers an optional rack enabling kit for deployment in Compaq or third-party racks. The Compaq AIT 35GB IDE tape drive offers an affordable data protection solution for backing up the data on ProLiant ML330 G2 and ML330e servers.

Smart Array 5312 controller
The Smart Array 5312 controller raises the standard to higher performance levels with several enhancements including new memory architecture and enhanced RAID engine. Designed, tested and optimized for PCI-X based ProLiant Servers for greater reliability, the Smart Array 5312 controller is ideal for the distributed workgroup server or centralized departmental server and offers complete data compatibility with previous generations of Smart Array controllers for easy data migration and upgradeability.

Compaq Parallel Database Cluster Model PDC/0200-MSA1000
The Compaq Parallel Database Cluster Model PDC/O2000-MSA1000 for Oracle9i Real Application Cluster (PDC/O2000-MSA1000) provides significantly improved uptime and lower operating costs than multiple single-server database implementations, and lower hardware, maintenance, and support costs. Since the PDC/O2000-MSA1000 cluster solution is based on industry standard hardware, it can be implemented at a much lower cost, without compromising availability, making it the perfect solution for business critical applications such as data warehousing, web back-end databases, custom database application development, packaged applications and database migration from other platforms.

Content Advisory Teams (CATs) facilitated by Encompass (A Compaq User Group)* have already begun to meet to discuss which types of sessions will be critical to you in 2002. Several Compaq Accredited Professionals have participated in these CATs to help us design the content for the event. A report from these first CAT meetings will be published in Mid-May and you'll be given the opportunity to provide feedback to the program team.

NA Training Services Announces Four New Courses
Even though you're already certified as a Compaq Accredited Professional, we still like to provide you updates on new training classes. Perhaps you'll want to become dual-certified and the training information will come in handy. The current 5-Day AIS/ASE Training Tracks that support the ProLiant/NetWare, ProLiant/Windows and ProLiant/Linux designations will be expanded in length. The restructured Compaq ProLiant ASE/AIS tracks will replace the current tracks beginning May 6th, 2002. On March 11th, 2002, registration opened for the restructured tracks/courses. Check out the course description and class schedule at www.compaq.com/training/home.html. In addition to the extended classroom length, there are new course names and course codes.
