This issue holds information about two important developments for HP Certified Professionals. First, we are just weeks away from the HP Technology Forum taking place this September in New Orleans. This is your official training event for 2005, and the time to register is now! Second, be sure to tune in to the August 4 webcast covering the new Continuing Education Program, which is sure to impact your recertification in 2006. Details are in the Program Information section.

Opt-out policy

You now have the option to no longer receive these monthly newsletters as well as other HP Certified Professional communications. If you would not like to receive these communications, you can "opt out," by following the steps below:

  1. Log into your HP Certified Professional Profile. If you need help logging in, please visit our Login Assistance page on the Participation Guide at www.hp.com/certification/americas/online_guide/access.html.
  2. Once logged in, select the Change My Profile (New Employer, Address Changes, Email, Etc.) link.
  3. The different communications you can choose from is listed below your email address field. Just uncheck the boxes of the items which you don't want to receive from HP.

All HP Certified Professionals will receive Program Update information as well as Continuing Certification Requirements (CCRs) communications. There is no "opt out" option for Program Updates and CCR communications.

The session scheduler is now open for HP Technology Forum 2005. This training conference offers more than 400 technical breakout sessions plus more than 200 hands-on labs from which to choose.

For your convenience a new feature has been added to the 1-800 telephone Information Line. HP Certified Professionals residing in the U.S. and Canada may now call the Information Line to hear the latest program news.

CCR discontinued for selected credentials
Announcing the immediate discontinuation of the following Continuing Certification Requirement (CCR) and Migration Plans:

  • ASE- HP ProLiant Servers CCR
  • Migration: Compaq Accredited Professional Master ASE - SAN Architect (pre-November 15 2002) to Master ASE - HP SAN Architect - Data Availability Solutions
  • Migration: Compaq Accredited Professional Master ASE - Enterprise Storage to Master ASE - HP SAN Architect - Data Availability Solutions

During HP Technology Forum 2005 this September, we're hosting a Prometric Testing Center for HP Certified Professionals.
