Opt-out policy

You now have the option to no longer receive these monthly newsletters as well as other HP Certified Professional communications. If you would not like to receive these communications, you can "opt out," by following the steps below:

  1. Log into your HP Certified Professional Profile. If you need help logging in, please visit our Login Assistance page on the Participation Guide at http://www.hp.com/certification/americas/online_guide/access.html.
  2. Once logged in, select the Change My Profile (New Employer, Address Changes, Email, Etc.) link.
  3. The different communications you can choose from is listed below your email address field. Just uncheck the boxes of the items which you don't want to receive from HP.

All HP Certified Professionals will receive Program Update information as well as Continuing Certification Requirements (CCRs) communications. There is no "opt out" option for Program Updates and CCR communications.

Once you earn your certification credential, the HP Certified Professional Program continues your learning and support by offering an on-going benefits package. Benefits are based on your level of achievement. Many of the benefits HP Certified Professionals receive are sponsored by either the Worldwide HP Certified Professional Program Office or your regional Americas Program Office.

Migration requirements have been cancelled
In the April newsletter, we told you about various migration requirements that resulted from the merger of the HP and Compaq certification programs. Those requirements have now been cancelled.

The HP Certified Professional Program announces a Continuing Certification Requirement (CCR) for APS - ProLiant Server certification.

New credential announced for integration specialists
The OpenView product group has just announced a new credential: Accredited Integration Specialist (AIS) in Identity Management. This credential is intended for Network Administrators, Systems Administrators, OpenView Authorized Resellers or anyone who is required or expected to be able to design, support and integrate security software solutions to solve business needs.

HP Certified Professional "Tech Talks" coming soon
We're implementing a new benefit this summer called "Tech Talks." This will give HP Certified Professionals an opportunity to dial in and hear from HP engineers on various technical topics. Check out next month's newsletter for details on the time and topic to be discussed.

Analyst firm predicts significant growth in the data storage market this year
According to an article in Certification Magazine, IT analyst firm Info-Tech Research Group predicts that the data storage market in mid-sized enterprises will grow by 35 percent in 2005.
