Opt-out policy

You now have the option to no longer receive these monthly newsletters as well as other HP Certified Professional communications. If you would not like to receive these communications, you can "opt out," by following the steps below:

1. Log into your HP Certified Professional Profile. If you need help logging in, please visit our Login Assistance page on the Participation Guide at www.hp.com/certification/americas/online_guide/access.html.
2. Once logged in, select the Change My Profile (New Employer, Address Changes, Email, Etc.) link.
3. The different communications you can choose from is listed below your email address field. Just uncheck the boxes of the items which you don't want to receive from HP.

All HP Certified Professionals will receive Program Update information as well as Continuing Certification Requirements (CCRs) communications. There is no "opt out" option for Program Updates and CCR communications.

In February 2006, the Americas HP Certified Professional Program Office will announce a new worldwide initiative called Continuous Learning.

Storage community called upon to create new certification exam
The StorageWorks Division Training Team, in conjunction with the HP Certified Professional Program, is holding a workshop to create a new exam titled "Small and Medium Business Data Protection Solutions."

New Credentials
The following are the latest credentials added to the Americas region portfolio:

• Accredited Sales Consultant (ASC) HP Enterprise Storage Solutions [2005]
• Accredited Sales Consultant (ASC) Specialty in HP StorageWorks XP Solutions [2005]
• Accredited Systems Engineer (ASE) HP OpenView Application Management - UNIX [2005]

All requirements to these new credentials are located on the website. On the home page you have the option of searching for credentials by focus area/certification level or by product.

Inactive Credentials
With the implementation of the new Credential Upgrade Path process (credential versions), the following credentials now have an inactive status.

Continuing Certification Requirements (CCRs)
Currently there are no active CCRs in the Americas region.

Special Encompass membership offer for HP Certified Professionals
HP and Encompass recently announced that HP Certified Professionals will receive a special membership rate of $45 when they join Encompass, the 10,000-member HP user group.
