How to set up an online testing account |

NOTE: If you already have a Prometric online testing account DO NOT create a second online account! You can use your online testing account for both web-based testing and performance-based testing. (Test center exams require that you set up a separate account for that type of exam.)
The web-based interface (see attached for details) used in Performance-based exams is provided by Prometric, but the exams are conducted in HP performance-based test centers. Therefore, before you can schedule any performance-based exam, you must first have a Prometric online testing account.
Also, be sure you have a valid HP Student ID before you begin or you will not be allowed to setup your Prometric account. Note: There is a 24 hour waiting period after receiving your HP Student ID before you can proceed with the Prometric online account setup.
To set up a Prometric online testing account:
- Go to your regional Prometric online portal

» Asia Pacific
» Europe, Middle East & Africa
- Click on "First-time Registration" link
- If you already have a Prometric ID, enter it into the box. If not, leave the field blank and a Prometric testing ID will be automatically assigned to you
- Select "HP0 - HP Certified Professional Exams" from the drop down menu box and click "Continue".
- Complete the registration form and click "Submit". Be sure to write down your Username and Password.

How to locate and register for a performance-based exam |

Performance-based exams are conducted at HP Software training/test centers throughout the world. To register please follow the online process below.
- Locate the exam:
- Click on the "Search for credentials" link on the left navigation bar.
- Choose a job role and a technology.
- Click on the "View credentials" button and select from the resulting credentials.
- On the following page, required exams will be displayed as you click on the requirements tabs. (Be sure to make a note of your exam name and number)
- Click on the exam you wish to take.
- On the resulting page select "» Exam registration" You will then be taken to the "Register for a performance-based exam" page where you can click the region link that reflects your location for a complete list of test centers.
- If you already know your exam name and number, you may proceed directly to the "Register for a performance-based exam" page where you can click the region link that reflects your location for a complete list of test centers.
- Click "Exam Schedule" to locate, register, and pay for an exam date.
Be prepared! To schedule an exam you will need the following information:
- Name
- HP Student ID
- Prometric ID
- Company/Organization
- Mailing address (Street, City, State, Country, ZIP)
- Test name and series ID# (HP0-xxx)
- Method of payment (Visa, MasterCard or American Express or Purchase Order)*

Performance-based exam (HP0) costs vary according to region and local currencies.
Methods of payment: Visa, MasterCard or American Express or Purchase Order
*Note: You may register for your courses online, using a credit card. You will be prompted for your credit card once you check out. If you opt to use the purchase order payment method your order will be pending until we receive a copy of the PO through FAX. Your order confirmation will include detailed information about where to send your PO. At this time, we do not accept the Federal or Local Workforce Investment Act (WIA) waivers. Exam vouchers are not accepted for performance-based exams.
Registration can only be confirmed once payment or company purchase order has been received.
